It was kind of a last minute decision while out this weekend to attend the Honolulu Night Market in Kaka'ako, but it was definitely a pleasant experience. This was my first time attending this event, as there had been one held previous to this one, so I didn't really hold many expectations as to what it would encompass. All I really knew before going was that there were going to be vendors (food, clothing, etc.) and there was going to be a fashion show, but that was convincing enough to attend...and it was convenient to get to since my friends and I were already doing something in the area. Nonetheless, it turned out to be a really nice night out in a block party type atmosphere, with lots of food options, artists, designers, and others showcasing their work in the community. I was very enticed by the pieces shown in the fashion show styled by
Geremy Campos, and two of my favorite looks can be seen (mirrored) in the pictures below. I also ran into more fabulous people that night, like Lindsey of
Pineapple Ice, and Ariyaphon Southiphong a.k.a.
Andy South, both of which I snapped photos with that can also be seen below. All photos were shot by
Zeric Villanueva with the exception of the fashion show shots. =]
